Evaluation of the analgesic activity of quercetin and chrysin in animal models

Pain is relieved by analgesics that acts via modulating the central and peripheral pain mediators. Some of analgesic has been reported to have a serious adverse effects when used in long-term treatments. Therefore, there need developing potent with minimal no effects. In current study, quercetin chrysin were evaluated for activity mice rat hyperalgesia (Eddy’s hot plate Tail flick analgesiometer). Diclofenac tramadol was as standard reference drugs. Male Swiss Albino rats are divided into six groups treated vehicle (1% acacia), (40 mg/kg), (100 (200 diclofenac (10 mg/kg) orally. present diclofenac, tramadol, significantly increased tail latency model compared control group.
